C. Rubio
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico (1982), Rubio is a contemporary plastic artist whose work navigates the duality between physical intensity and ethereal dreamscapes. What began in his childhood as an intuitive need to translate his inner world has evolved into a mature and disciplined practice that dominates both sculpting textures with a palette knife and rendering delicate details with a brush.
Rubio’s artistic language is defined by this contrast: on one hand, the powerful imprimatura and thick, deliberate strokes that create tactile landscapes (as seen in his marine series), and on the other, the intricate, illustrative precision of his iconic "criaturitas" and celestial "Estelarias." This versatility allows him to move seamlessly from monumental murals to intimate formats, always driven by an urgent need for authentic expression.
"Over time, I have learned that the ultimate truth in art lies in the passion and uncompromising honesty you carve into each piece."
