M. Beatriz is a contemporary visual artist whose work beautifully captures the vibrant daily life, music, and surrealist spirit of the island. Her unique creative journey reflects a fascinating transition from science to fine arts, merging deep technical precision with raw emotional expression.

Education & Formative Years

The artist initially trained in both Mechanical Industrial Design (graduating from the Fernando Aguado y Rico Polytechnic Institute in 1988) and Chemistry. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, she expanded her visual language by studying photography under Professor Roberto Rodríguez D'Cal. Her dual background culminated in 1995 when she designed the book covers for the academic series "From Alchemy to Chemistry."

Artistic Career & Collective Spaces

Driven by a deep passion for painting, she fully transitioned into the fine arts in the mid-1990s.

• 1996–Present: Accredited member of the "Víctor Manuel" Gallery, part of the Fund of Cultural Assets

• Community Engagement: She actively participated in the Kaiowas visual arts workshop, a creative collective closely affiliated with UNEAC (the National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists).

Exhibitions & Studio

Her artwork has been featured in numerous prestigious group shows and exhibitions, including:
