Cortés has developed her artistic career as a painter in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. Wood has always been a fundamental element in the creation of her work. In her early years, she favored the use of reclaimed wood, and her small- and medium-format pieces have been distinguished by their vibrant use of color and contrasting tones, creating a powerful visual impact on the viewer.
